BRIEF:
Palimpsest is a major player in the book production world providing typesetting to many of the big names in the publishing world. The client briefed us to build a fully content managed web site incorporating a customer area carrying full job tracking and reporting functionality. The site needed to provide the client with cost savings, improved efficiency and customer support service.
APPROACH:
A clean, uncluttered, global design was briefed which would reflect professionalism and attention to detail and offer a framework to present book jackets as a point of endorsement. Content management could be provided through deployment of our vContent product but the job tracking application called for customised development. The project went to build stage once the detailed specifiaction on the custom application had been thoroughly mapped out and client approved.
OUTCOME:
Palimpsest's new site forms an integral part of the business now that it is live. The client can offer its customers a significantly enhanced service through the job tracking application all accessed via secure and client confidential, log-in. This is helping to give Palimpsest a differentiating capability in their market and supporting the company's continued business growth.
